The ability to engage with technology is essential in today’s world, yet many students in rural India lack access to meaningful digital education. At Appskilling we aim to close this gap by equipping students with vital computer science skills. With our recent partnership with Microsoft TEALS (Technology Education and Learning Support), we are further strengthening computer science education by building local expertise and fostering a passion for digital innovation among students.
Appskilling’s mission is to help students overcome social and geographical barriers by giving them the tools they need to succeed in the digital world. Computer science education develops problem-solving skills, fosters creativity, and opens pathways to higher education and employment.
Using Microsoft TEALS we work alongside teachers and support them with lesson plans and demonstrations over Microsoft Teams which they teach to their students the following week. Appskilling focuses on inclusive and practical learning, providing students with hands-on experience in programming and digital technologies. We aim to prepare students not just for technical careers but to become innovative problem-solvers in any field they choose. By using proven methodologies from TEALS, we are building a program that ensures that all students, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to thrive.
We believe that change happens through collaboration. To reach more students, we welcome partnerships with companies, NGOs, and volunteers who share our vision of creating inclusive access to computer science education. Together, we can empower students across India, awakening their interest in IT and computer engineering.
